PEAP Members

Purdue student members are freshman to graduate students, come from all majors, and have different levels of experience and interest! Most PEAP members have some familiarity or have a desire to learn more about equine assisted programs, in some capacity, but no prior experience with EAPs or horses is required for membership. All are welcome!

To be considered an active member in the club, you must:

  • Be a full-time undergraduate or graduate Purdue University student
  • Pay semester dues within 30 days of membership
  • Commit to attending meetings and events as needed to maintain hours required for active status

Additional information regarding membership will be discussed at the callout meetings. If you are interested in joining PEAP but cannot attend the callouts, e-mail nrappapo@purdue.edu or attend any other regularly scheduled PEAP meeting.

Benefits of PEAP membership include:

  • Voting privileges
  • PEAP t-shirt
  • Membership in the Indiana Horse Council (IHC) as part of PEAP. The IHC is the voice of the industry in the state, and members enjoy horse business discounts and unique volunteer opportunities.
  • Access to the PEAP Blackboard and email list, containing the most up-to-date Club information and additional EAP and horse resources

The Executive Board is responsible for steering and guiding the Club in the directions determined by its members. The Executive Board consists of officers elected once per academic year and Committee Chairpersons, as dictated by the PEAP Constitution.

The Officers for Fall 2008 — Spring 2009 are:

  • Natalie Rappaport - President
  • Angela Schafer - Treasurer
  • Valerie Raney - Fundraising Chair
  • Sarah-Ruth Egel - Vice President
  • Amanda Kautz - Secretary
  • Arlene Schauwecker - Assistant Treasurer
  • Jenny Beal - Publicity Representative
