If you took a biochemistry course other than MCMP 208, you may find PHRM 836 to be different from the biochemistry course that you took in several ways. Of course, PHRM 836 does not the same material (it covers advanced and clincially relevant material that typically is not covered in one-semester courses). But PHRM 836, like MCMP 208, requires that students learn the conceptual material well enough to apply those concepts. (Hint: Generally, memorization of the material is not adequate for this.) This can make PHRM 836 highly challenging for students who do not study sufficiently to demonstrate that they can apply the concepts.
