Fabian Winkler
Department of Visual and Performing Arts, Purdue University
Fabian Winkler is an Assistant Professor of Visual and Performing Arts at
Purdue University. In his interactive
installations and video works he explores the aesthetic potential and the
cultural implications of seemingly well-known artifacts through the use of
new technologies. Winkler's art practice
is transdisciplinary, located at the intersections of the moving image, spatial
structures, sound and robotics. Conceptually, his works are often influenced by
archeological research into the history of technology and observations of social
processes.
