Please Join Us on April 23rd, 2014 at Centennial Mall (between SC and WTHR) for Turkish Children Day festivities!

Every April we celebrate the foundation of Turkish Senate and therefore the democracy in Turkey with fun-filled festivities. This day was dedicated to the children as a reminder of the fact that they hold the key for a better future.

In line with this idea, we would like to make the children in our community happy as we share the unique facets of Turkish culture with you. We will :

• Sell Turkish food (Menu)
• Sell authentic Turkish items (List of items)
• Provide information about Turkish culture (Turkiye 101)
• Have a photo booth
• Do a Turkish folk dance show (@ 12.30pm)
• Give away free balloons for kids under 12

As a member of Greater Lafayette community, we'll donate our proceedings to Lafayette School Corporation that helps local schools in Lafayette area.

We will also have a Turkish movie screening on April 24th at 6pm in LWSN B155!

The movie will be "The cars of the Revolution" depicting the efforts of Turkish engineers trying to build Turkey's first car in just 130 days.You can watch the trailer here.
