Typing "wireless" into any search engine on the Internet will yield several thousand entries on the topic. Indeed, this emerging technology is alluring for a variety of reasons (low cost, relatively quick installs, appealing to students and faculty, to name a few). Several institutions have installed partial or complete wireless networks on their campuses to compliment their existing wired network. The number will continue to rise as institutions adopt this technology as a means to attract students and faculty, provide students with readily available network access, and as the price of the technology and wireless devices continue to drop.
