Midwest Soccer Tournament Fall 2013

Date: Sunday, October 6th*.
The following is some updated
information about the tournament:

1. Soccer tournament: we’ve reserved the TREC turf fields from 10am to 2pm
(2 fields from 10am to 12:30pm and 1 field from 12:30pm to 2pm). According
to TREC policy, we can’t reserve both fields after 12:30pm.
- Time: 10am – 2pm.
- Location: Purdue Turf Recreation Exercise Center (TREC), 355 N. Martin
Jischke Drive, West Lafayette, IN 47907-2030.

- Teams: Purdue, UIUC, Chicago, Michigan, Missouri and “3I” (IIT + IU +
Indy) (totally 6 teams).
- Tournament format: round-robin (league) format. Each game lasts 20
minutes, divided into 2 halves.

- Price: $$
- Social Event: each team should have at least one performance (singing,
dancing or whatsoever). Other activities can be organized if there is
enough interest, so please feel free to make your suggestions. Also, ff you

The Vietnamese International Student Association at Purdue (VIP) would like to invite you to our Global Cafe event on Friday, October 21st 2011.

Vietnamese coffee will be served at 5:30pm. Our presentation will start at 6pm and authentic Vietnamese food will be served at 6:30pm.

This is the Callout presentation from last Friday

In summary:
- We talked about our future events:
+ Friday, October 21st: 5:30pm at International Center: Global Cafe.
+ Saturday, October 29th: Midwest Vietnamese Soccer Tournament at IU
- We also talked about the preparation needed for the Global Cafe. This is a big event and we will need a lot of volunteers for the decoration team and the food team. If you think you could help, please fill out this sign up sheet.
- Also, the membership is $10 for one semester or $15 for the whole year. The membership will give you:
+ Access to services provided by our association.
+ Discount on group’s merchandise.
+ Discount on activities organized by us.

Vietnamese Food Festival


V.I.P is organizaing a food festival to showcase our delicious and
authentic Vietnamese cusines. You will have a chance to taste a variety
of Vietnamese food that representing our unique cultures across the
country. This is also our effort to raise money for our organization.
Tickets will be sold a week in advanced at Stewart Center (in front of
the HSSE Library). Early bird discount: $10/12 tickets at Steward center
or $1/ticket at entrance.
