Regular Events Purdue University ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter is involved with
    • The Purdue University ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter Spring Show and Banquet is held annually each Spring semester. During the banquet, awards are distributed to students who submit their work to the Spring Show. Judges are comprised of a select industry panel, and student work gets national attention through this competition.
    • We help send students to the ACM SIGGRAPH Conference each summer, and normally organize and chair an event at the conference for all the student chapters in attendance.
    • We provide our own income though the Third Floor Store in KNOY 351. The store is student-run and staffed by the Store Manager, and student-friendly prices compared to the bookstores and vending machines. The store features supplies and snacks, so support your fellow students and buy from us!
    • The CGT Department sponsors a computer camp on the Purdue campus for high school students. Volunteers of our Members help teach computers skills to potential Purdue students.
    • Members are recruited to serve as student liaisons to the PICET conference.
    • Speakers from distinguished industry companies and academia normally keynote our monthly meetings, holding a one hour info or techniques sessions. This allows students to get a jump on something they are not exposed to in classes, companies get to meet and spend face time with the best students interested in computer graphics at Purdue University, and professors get to speak on a specialized topic that they currently work on, but are not able to put in their lecture.
